A question Im asked frequently this time of year is, Why do you drive 300 miles round trip to sleep in a car in a church parking lot? First and foremost, I support the hard work of my cousin, his staff, the volunteers, and the clients of Home Sweet Home Ministries. The second reason is that I get to connect with other family members participating for this great cause. The third and final reason is because I can. Last year, the proceeds from Night In A Car provided over 19,000 nights of shelter to 191 men, women, and children who had nowhere else to stay. You served 27,800 meals to our shelter residents and community members with the support from our local community.
