I have done Night In A Car twice, but have taken a small break and I am returning for the big,10th year event. This simulation is something that I continue to learn from and it allows me to grow in empathy and compassion for those experiencing homelessness. It motivates me to bring awareness to this hidden part of our community. My hope is that we can recognize the signs of those in need, encourage and empower them with resources and prayer, and walk with them on their journey to healing. Last year, the proceeds from Night In A Car provided over 19,000 nights of shelter to 191 men, women, and children who had nowhere else to stay. You served 27,800 meals to our shelter residents and community members with the support from our local community.
